Prime Generics up for Auction!
DomainFEST Global 2012 is slated for Jan 31 – Feb 2 2012 and is to be held in Santa Monica. No I won’t be attending, it’s on the other side of the world, but I will be watching the accompanying auction pretty closely. And that’s basically because of the quality of names on auction there, rare to find such quality names in one auction event.
Here are the domains, my picks in bold as usual (without price consideration):
Domain Name Reserve Range
1800business.com $10,001 – $25,000
cheyenne.com $100,001 – $250,000
civilunion.com $1,001 – $2,500
eco.org $100,001 – $250,000
emails.com $500,001 – $750,000
empire.com $100,001 – $250,000
eve.com $500,001 – $750,000
host.com $1MM – $5MM
internetradio.com $100,001 – $250,000
juice.com $750,001 – $1MM
marriages.com $25,001 – $50,000
planners.com $50,001 – $100,000
plasmatv.com $25,001 – $50,000
platinum.com $750,001 – $1MM
promo.com $1MM – $5MM
qe.com $25,001 – $50,000
qr.com $250,001 – $500,000
security.com $1MM – $5MM
unplugged.com $100,001 – $250,000
work.com $1MM – $5MM

When I say ‘without price consideration’ it essentially means I’m only looking at the domain, salivating at the prospect of developing them, without considering the price. If dudu.com can sell for $1 Million, most of these would be bargains in anyone’s book.

It seems 10 domains sold from this lot, including Empire.com for $135k : http://www.domainnamenews.com/domain-auction/live-domainfest-global-2012-auction-results/10070

The best buy in this list is clearly emails.com. I think that is a good price for a domain that could be easily developed compared to some of these other domains.
