Bido finally got their validation system done the right way. Emails for validation. Still a little buggy, press ‘resend email’ once and the system sends it 3 times :p But at least you’re spared the pain of adding the bido code to each and every domain.

Now if they can only figure out whois validation of email ID on record. Like Sedo. That would make it totally awesome.

And speaking of Sedo – two new features which you might or might not be aware of -

  1. Auto categorisation – do check the categories though, its auto, so not perfect by a long shot, but if you have a lot of domains, its a major timesaver.
  2. Free price suggestions – goto domain management, choose ‘view or get price suggestions’. Now select domains and ‘get free price suggestions’. Max 400 or so per day but worth the effort. Again, its an automated system, so don’t follow it blindly.

These two features should supposedly help you sell more domains assuming the domains are worth it to start with.

Also, in late breaking news, seems NamePros auctions are going to be back soon, Rachel (NPQueen) is getting an auction team together and a schedule in place. Should be fun, specially since I now get to participate as a regular user. Take it from me, running those Live Auctions is a LOT of work. Hats off and Good Luck to the new team. Cheers!
